Lesbian couple battered and tortured toddler to death

A mother and her civil partner have been convicted of murdering her two-year-old son before trying to pin the blame on another child.

Toddler Liam Fee was found dead at his home near Glenrothes in Fife in March 2014, having suffered a ruptured heart as a result of severe blunt force trauma to his body.

His mother, Rachel Fee, 31, and her partner Nyomi Fee, 29, had denied killing the child but were convicted of his murder following a seven-week trial at the High Court in Livingston.

The court heard that Liam suffered heart injuries similar to those found on road crash victims after receiving blows to his chest and abdomen.

The pathologist who examined his body also found more than 30 external injuries on the toddler's body and fractures to the boy's upper arm and thigh.
The couple claimed another young boy, who cannot be identified because of his age, was responsible for Liam's death.

The women, originally of Ryton, Tyne and Wear, were today also found guilty of a catalogue of abuse against two other young boys.
In addition to the murder charge, they were found guilty of assaulting Liam over a period of more than two years prior to his death.
And they were convicted of ill-treating and neglecting him from January 2012 onwards by leaving him for prolonged periods of time, failing to provide him with adequate exercise and mental stimulation and - in the days leading up to his death - failing to get him proper medical attention for a broken leg and a fractured arm.

Anyone else been following the other horrific story of that wall-eyed freak of a psychopath who beat his daughter to death and his gimp of a missus is covering up for him? Little girl was called Ellie-May or something. Why do chavs keep giving their daughters hyphenated names with 'May/Mae' on the end? Anyway, bloke deserves to get knifed in prison. The little girl had already been taken off them once after he was accused of beating her, and they took social services to court to get her back, claiming he didn't hurt her. She was given back to them. Well that was a sound decision, wasn't it?

Ha ha, I shouldn't laugh Nursey by one of my best mates has just got engaged to someone who already had a child and her name is Georgie-May.

As for anyone who touches children in any way, the punishments need to be made a lot more stricter and get the death penalty back for them. Anyone hitting a child is basically just a coward - and that's coming from a person like me who despises children.

I expect statistics would bear out that any kind of violence is less likely to be committed by females. So I can't see why anyone would take issue with the statement that this case is more notable/shocking/surprising than when fathers beat their kids to death. I don't think anyone would argue the punishment should be more or less severe because the murderer is female.

Not at all, I think we all assume that women have some kind of mothering instinct, certainly more so that you would expect a man to have a fatherly instinct. Also when it comes to violence women are more likely to commit a crime of passion, whereas men are more likely to irrationally lose their rag, i believe the statistics show.
